Obituary of George Esmond Marsh

Graveside services for George Esmond Marsh, 78, of Leesville will be held at the Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at 6 P.M. under the direction of the DeRidder Funeral Home. George was born on December 30, 1941 to Willard Esmond and Nancy Elizabeth Hamilton Marsh in Aurora, IL. He passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020 in Leesville, Louisiana. Mr. Marsh retired from the United States Navy. He was a very active in Boy Scouts and was an avid supporter of that organization; he even spent time in Japan serving with the Boy Scouts. He is survived by his wife Jimmy Marsh of Leesville, LA; children, Christopher Esmond Marsh and wife, Roberta of Virginia Beach, VA, Karl Edward Marsh and wife, Dawne of South Carolina, Eric Fritz Marsh of Colorado Springs, CO and Alexus Aaron Marsh of Leesville, LA; brother, William Arthur Marsh and wife, Jackie of Jasper, TX; sisters, Mary Ann Snapp and husband, David of Orange, TX and Dee Turner and husband, Ron of Wildwood, TX; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
