Obituary of Arlene Cole

Arlene Cole, 80, passed away on Saturday, February 21st, 2015 in DeRidder, Louisiana. Arlene was born on July 18th, 1934 and lived her entire life in the Junction Community between Deridder and Merryville. She was a kind person who loved to visit with family and friends. She knew everyone who lived for miles around and enjoyed baking cookies for friends and neighbors. She will be missed by many. Ms. Cole was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Audrey Cole, and one brother, Olen Cole. She is survived by one brother, Melvin Cole of Lake Charles, LA; two nieces, Anita Harman of Beaumont, TX and Rhonda Shannon of Houston, TX; one nephew, Melvin Cole Jr of Lufkin, TX; one aunt, Sylvia Powers of Junction, LA and numerous cousins and extended family and friends. Visitation will be on Saturday, February 28th, 2015 at 9:00am until the time of service at 10:00am at Macedonia Baptist Church in Junction, LA with Pastor G. L. Read Officiating. Interment to follow at Cannon Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Words of comfort may be shared at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
