Aunt Ruth was always a part of my life from my earliest memories. I remember she and my mom shelling peas or butter beans on our front porch as I was growing up. She made my wedding gown and kept Laurie for me the first year that I taught. She and Uncle George came to as many of my children's weddings as possible, making sure Mother and Daddy were there as well. I dropped in on her with one or the other of my grandkids over the years, and she was always so gracious with them so that they loved and appreciated her, also.. We will miss her always.

Aunt Ruth was a bright, sunny stop for my family when we visited she and Uncle George. I loved visiting with Aunt Ruth. She had a great easy laugh. She will be missed.

Robert,
I was so saddened to hear about the passing of my Aunt Ruth. From watching over me as a baby when my parents went to work, to her yearly family update letters at Christmas, she has always been such an important part of my life. I have such fond memories of she and Uncle George drinking coffee at Mammaw and Pappaw's in the afternoons where the 4 of them caught me up on all the local politics and gossip. I treasured the times I was able to visit with her in the summer during my trips home from Canada. Her smile and positive outlook will be in my heart forever.
