Obituary of Norman C Chafin

Norman C. Chafin, 76, of DeRidder, Louisiana entered eternal peace on February 23rd, 2014 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. A memorial service will be held on February 25th, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana. Mr. Norman was a retired Alaskan state trooper, a retired boat captain, advice diver and former owner and instructor at Dive Toledo Shoppe, enjoyed boating and fishing, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nona Chafin; son, Norman Layne Chafin; and parents, Morris Chafin and Ruth Chafin Conn. Those left to cherish his memory and mourn his loss are his wife of 13 years, Brigitte Chafin of DeRidder, LA; son, Norman Alan Chafin and wife Cindy of Lake Charles, LA; stepson, Captain Kenneth D. LeBlanc of Wiesbaden, Germany; three grandchildren, LaBraja Hodges and husband Dan, Ashley LeJeune, and Amanda LeBlanc and husband Jeremy; and six great grandchildren.
