Obituary of Miller Jr.

Ray Thomas "Tom" Miller Jr. Ray Thomas "Tom" Miller Jr., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, in his Dry Creek home at age 62. Tom was many things; a Christian, family man, avid outdoorsman and a dreamer--but to most people he was simply a friend. Tom never met a stranger and always had a smile and time to "visit." A dedicated member of the Dry Creek Bible Church, Tom would want nothing more than for everyone to accept Jesus as their Savior and receive the gift of eternal life. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Ray T. Miller Sr. and Lois McFatter Miller. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Gail Soileau Miller; daughter, Erica Broussard and her soulmate Sean Jones of Lake Charles; son, Ryan Abshire of Ragley; golden granddaughter, Quinn T. Klein; birth mother, Freda Haddock of Virginia; brothers, David Haddock of Mandeville, and Travis Haddock of Virginia; sisters, Martha Miller Hall of Plano, Texas, and Gail Haddock Holt of Virginia. Visitation will be held at Dry Creek Bible Church Saturday, March 1, from 9 am. until time of service at 12:30 p.m. with burial following in Dry Creek Cemetery, under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of DeRidder. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations may be made to Dry Creek Baptist Encampment or Camp Pearl in his memory
