Another "beautiful" rose has been plucked! I just learned of Mr. Mullican's passing and wish to send my sincere condolences, first to you, Ms. Lloydell, and then to each of you. I will always remember working with Mr. Mullican at IMCAL, it was the highlight of my career. May the love that he had for each of you remain until you see him in the RAPTURE. Love always!

Jake and Lloydell were two of the finest friends and servants of God that I knew while living in DeRidder. I met my wife, Toni, while eating pancakes in their kitchen. May God richly bless the entire family and friends with his love and comfort.

My earliest memories include Jake Mullican developing films with my brother, Charles Morton, in a make-shift dark room behind Grandma Kate's garage. Grandma always spoke fondly of the Mullicans, as if they were family. She talked about how she loved Eddye Claire, as well as Nina, Isla Rae, Jake and Tommy. In later years, Jake and Lloydell participated in our wedding. We have always been dear friends, whether near in proximity, or miles apart. We were there when Jeffery and Jess took their first steps. I loved them as my own. We all moved to New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary together. Gram-Gram joined us there, and our admiration for her became even greater. Unfortunately, we were not around when Jo Sarah joined the family, but we feel a close bond to her and her family, as well.
It is difficult to think about Jake not being around with his quick wit and optimism. The ripple effects of his Christian influence and sweet spirit will live on forever. To my dear friend, Lloydell, to Jeffery, Jess, and Jo Sarah and their families, I send my love and deepest condolences. Jake Mullican was one of a kind, and will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
