Obituary of Diana Lynn Powers

Diana Lynn Powers, 65, of Leesville, Louisiana entered eternal peace on Friday, July 25th, 2014 in Leesville, Louisiana with her loving family by her side. She was a member of Maplewood United Methodist Church. Diana retired as a nurse at Beauregard Memorial Hospital where she worked primarily in the new born nursery. She was a kind and compassionate person. Diana was family oriented her mother, her husband, her children and her grandchildren were always priority. Mrs. Powers was preceded in death by her father, John Leonard Hunt. Those left to cherish her memories and mourn her are her husband, Mark Powers of Leesville, LA; three daughters, Jennifer Bellard and husband Steven of Sulphur, LA, Gina Ray and husband James of Western Grove, AR, Jessica Wilson and husband Jimbo of Leesville, LA; mother, Blanche Hunt Peveto and husband Cecil of Sulphur, LA; one brother, Doug Hunt and wife Gail of Sulphur, LA; grandchildren, Brandon Mott, Kayley Mott, Kimberly Bellard, Erin Bellard, Callie Ray, Cammie Ray, Justin Wilson, Brooklyn Wilson, Jacob Wilson and Ashlay Powers; great-grandchildren, Dustie Powers and Jaslyn Wilson; And numerous extended family and friends. Visitation will began on Monday, July 28th, 2014 at 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Hixson Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. The Funeral service will be on Tuesday, July 29th, 2014 at 12:00 pm at Hixson Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Templeton and Steven Bellard officiating. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Brandon Mott, Andy Laughlin, Justin Wilson, Jacob Wilson, Jimbo Wilson, and Ralph O'Neal. Interment will follow at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville, LA.
