Obituary of Edward H. Everett

Funeral services for Edward “Ed” Harris Everett, 89, of Denham Springs will be held at the DeRidder Funeral Home on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. Interment will be at the Lewis Cemetery following services under the direction of the DeRidder Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 6th from 2:00 P.M. until time of service at the funeral home. Ed was born on May 21, 1931. He passed away on Monday, May 3, 2021 in Denham Springs, Louisiana. Mr. Everett was a native of DeRidder. He was a retired consulting engineer. Mr. Everett served in the United States Air Force from 1951-1954 as an Airman First Class. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harris and Nina Everett; his wife of 43 years Blondie Everett; brothers, Kenneth Everett and Charles Bert Everett; sister, Virginia Everett Bragg and two great grandchildren, Draven Archer and Chelsey Cole. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Norman Leslie Archer Sr. and Erma Archer of Kiln; his companion of 11 years Verlene Finkler of Denham Springs; three grandchildren, three great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
