Obituary of Peggy Ann Brewer

Graveside services for Peggy Ann Brewer, 77, of DeRidder will be held at the Lewis Cemetery in DeRidder on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. under the direction of the DeRidder Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 16th, from 5:00:PM. until 8:00 P.M. at the Diamond Baptist Church in DeRidder. Peggy was born on June 29, 1943 in DeRidder, Louisiana to Johnnie Orvis and Juanice Mitchell Phillips. She passed away on Friday, November 13, 2020 in DeRidder, Louisiana. Mrs. Brewer worked in Civil Service for over twenty years. She loved art, playing piano and watching Hallmark Christmas movies. Most of all she loved her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Brewer; brother, Johnnie Phillips, Jr. and one nephew, Daniel Phillips. She is survived by sons, John Paul Brewer and wife Sarah of DeRidder and Alan R. Brewer and wife Iona of Texas; daughters, Jama Carpio of DeRidder and Kris Weber and husband Lester of DeRidder; brother, Jimmy Phillips and wife Jean of DeRidder; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces nephews and friends. She was also a mother to two fur babies and godmother of three fur babies.
