Milton loved chickens, cows, and rabbits and his funny little stories about them; he also loved gardening and was a great cook. As a young man, he was introduced into the Pentecostal Apostolic Church and was baptized in Jesus’s Name and filled with the Holy Ghost according to the book of Acts in the Holy Bible Chapter 2. He was a member of the Rosepine United Pentecostal Church, Pastor Rev. Gary Bankson where he served as an usher and door greeter for years. He never turned his back from serving Jesus His Lord. Milton was faithful to God, his family, his job “family”, his country and his friends and remained faithful in all these things until the very end. Remarks and loving comments . . . Saturday mornings, through the years, at the Warden home you could find Papaw Milton up making delicious pancakes and coffee milk for the grandchildren. This is just a tidbit from the treasure chest of all the special moments we will keep in our hearts always. A quiet, meek, unsung hero . . . we are singing his song and tribute to the most loving, caring, gentle, Godly man. Through the years, he would read his Bible; he loved and promoted our pastor and the Rosepine UPC. He loved the works of God and the ministering of the Word of God. He had a great love and respect of people and especially children and babies. Always ready and willing to help with any project, he was a very hard worker himself, he helped in the nursing home ministry at the Rosepine Nursing Home for many years and was on the board at Newlin Cemetery. He was an unsung hero and today we try to sing his song. The loving family of Winfred Milton Warden
