Obituary of Glenn J. Bayhi

Gravesides services for Glenn J. Bayhi, 83, of DeRidder will be held at the Hopewell Cemetery in DeRidder, LA on Friday, July 10, 2020 at 3 P.M. Mr. Bayhi's last wishes was that anyone attending the service be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing; for the safety of his loved ones. Services are under the direction of the DeRidder Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana. Glenn was born on September 30, 1936 to Eustis Bayhi and Ellen Shedville in NOLA. He passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 in DeRidder, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lucille Fortmayer. He is survived by his wife, Selby “Sis” Bayhi of DeRidder, LA; children, Glenn Bayhi Jr. of Bay St. Louis, MS and Lisa Bayhi of Bay St. Louis, MS; sister, Marion Dyess of Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren, Joseph Barre of Alexandria, LA, Jonathan Barre of Baton Rouge, LA, Jessica Barre of DeRidder, LA, Jennifer Noble of Jacksonville, FL, and Steven Bayhi of Belle Chasse, LA; fifteen great-grandchildren and oodles of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. A very special thank you to Reggy & Gloria Saunders for all their loving care, support and love during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a church or charity of choice.
