Obituary of Mary Syble "Sue" Campbell

Funeral services for Mary Syble “Sue” Campbell, 84, of Dry Creek will be held at the DeRidder Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 11 A.M with Rev. Wesley Lester officiating. Interment will be at the Dry Creek Cemetery, in Dry Creek, LA following services. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd from 6 P.M. until 9 P.M. and on January 24th from 10 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home. Sue was born on September 16, 1935 to Spero G. George and Jesse Sybil Langley in Tyler, Texas. She passed away on January 21, 2020 in Oberlin. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred Campbell; son, Jerry Brister; daughter, Jamie Sonnier; son-in-law, Freddie Sonnier; grandson, Little Freddie and brothers, Nick George, Gus George, and Floyd Burrell. Sue loved children, she took in children to raise as her own. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved cooking and crafts. Taking care of her family was her greatest joy. She is survived by her children, Freddy Campbell (Shannon) of Dry Creek, Johnny Campbell of Dry Creek, Kathy Boggs (Rickey) of Dry Creek, Syble Ryder (Fred) of Oberlin, Sarah Quinealty of Dry Creek and Helen Rider (Mike) of Dry Creek; brothers, Manuel George of DeRidder and Jimmy George of DeRidder; sister, Kathy Moses of DeRidder; grandchildren, Steven Brister (Kim Ann), Crystal Ryan (Zeke), Elona Weston (Tom), Katelynn McKee (Nathan), Joshua Campbell, Ethan Campbell, Falon Ryder, Jake Ryder, Lance Sonnier, Alexis Sonnier, Matthew Martin, Tori Martin, Troy Quinealty, Trey Quinealty, Shawn Rider (Shelbie) and Dustin Rider (Ashlyn) and 7 great grandchildren.
