Obituary of Madaline F. Woodard

Funeral services for Madaline F. Woodard, 88, of DeRidder will be held at the Temple Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 11 A.M. with Bro. Frank Ott officiating.  Interment will be at the Lewis Cemetery, in DeRidder, LA following services.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 12th from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. at the DeRidder Funeral Home.

Madaline, was born on March 23, 1931 to Luther G. and Ida Singletery Ford. She passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 in Lake Charles.

Madaline was a lifelong resident of Beauregard Parish and a member of Temple Baptist Church in DeRidder.  Mrs. Woodard was a loving homemaker.  She was an avid gardener and well known for her beautiful yard and plants.  She also loved to quilt. She and her late husband loved spending many happy summers in Creede, Colorado where they had a summer home for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents Luther & Ida Ford; her loving husband of 62 years Leon Woodard and son Michael Woodard.

She is survived by her daughter, Denise Moses & husband Mark of DeRidder; daughter-in-law, Sharon Woodard of Creede, CO and brother, Glenn Ford of DeRidder; seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
