Obituary of Barbara "Sis" Ann Shirley

Funeral services for Barbara “Sis” Ann Shirley, will be held at the DeRidder Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at 3 P.M. with Bro. Glenn Ducharme officiating.  There will be no graveside services.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 16th from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Sis was born on July 19, 1944 to John Marvin and Virgie Stracener Gill in DeRidder, Louisiana.  She passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019 in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Marvin Gill and Virgie Isalee Gill and brothers, Marvin “Frog” Lee Gill and an infant brother.

She is survived by her husband, Mr. Ezra “Kenny” Shirley Jr. of DeRidder; daughter, Renae and Billy Young of DeRidder; brothers, William E. “Zeke” & Nina Gill of DeRidder and Randy & Brenda Gill of DeRidder; sister, Betty Tate of Reeves; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
