Obituary of Sylvia Althia Henry

Funeral services for Sylvia Althia Henry, 67, of DeRidder will be held at the DeRidder Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 10 A.M. with Sister Thelma Creel officiating.  Interment will be at the Old Cypress Cemetery, in DeRidder, LA following services.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 29th from 8 A.M. until time of service at the funeral home.

Sylvia was born on September 4, 1951 to Virgile and Ada Cunningham Placker.  She passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018.

Mrs. Henry was born in Gorman, Texas; she lived in Louisiana for seventeen years.  She was loved by many and loved family and friends. She enjoyed smiling, laughing, crafts and fellowship with friend and family.  She went to Love Faith And Hope Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Macon Leon Henry Jr.

She is survived by her sons, Johnny Henry of DeRidder and Joshua Henry of DeRidder; daughters, Angel Hennigan of DeRidder and Tiffanie & Travis Kring of Willis,TX; sister, Jean Ellison of Odessa, TX and Shirley Johnson of Reno, NV; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
