Obituary of Ray Duplechain

Funeral services for Ray Duplechain, 86, of DeRidder, will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at 11:00 am at the Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church, with Father Jude Brunnert M.S. officiating. Burial will follow in the R & E Cemetery, in DeRidder, Louisiana, under the direction of DeRidder Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, from 5pm until 9pm, with a Rosary being held at 7pm at the DeRidder Funeral Home.

Ray, the son of Christopher and Louise Menard Duplechin was born on February 25, 1932, in Crowley, LA. He passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2018, in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

He is survived by his  wife, Eva Del Melancon Duplechain of DeRidder; son, David Ray Duplechain & wife, Mandy of DeRidder; daughters, Sharlene Duplechain Stout of Ragley, Irma Duplechain Trosclair & husband, Paul of Eunice and Christina Duplechain LeBlanc of DeRidder; brothers, Wesley Duplechin and Calvin Duplechin both of Ragley; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and four sisters and son-in-law, Ricky Stout.
