Obituary of CLAYTON B STROHSCHEIN

Clayton Blaine Strohschein, 96, passed away on Monday, July 27th, 2015 in Alexandria, Louisiana. Clayton was born on June 28th, 1919 in Latanier, La. He farmed for 16 years in Big Bend, in Avoyelles Parish, and then moved to DeRidder. Clayton was a WW11 Veteran in which he served in the Army Air Force. He was a kind person who loved to visit with family and friends. He enjoyed life, and loved being around his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is loved by all and will be missed by many. Mr. Strohschein was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Nancy Strohschein, Four Brothers, and Three Sisters. He is survived by his wife of seventy two years, Alice Strohschein, of Deridder, La. two sons, Clay Strohschein of Alexandria, La. and Frank Strohschein, of Dallas Tx; three daughters, Alice Wallrath of Houston Tx, Nancy Strohschein of Alexandria, La, and Naomi Records, of Dallas,Tx ; one sister, Ruth Prather of Houston, Tx; and twelve Grandchildren, fourteen Great Grandchildren, and three great great Grandchildren. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 29th, 2015 at 5: 00 PM until 9:00 PM at Hixson Funeral Home, DeRidder La; and on Thursday July 30th from 9:00 AM until time of service at 10:00 AM at the First United Pentecostal Church of DeRidder Louisiana.
