Obituary of Cecile Barrett

Cecile Barrett, 76, of DeRidder, Louisiana entered eternal peace on Saturday, August 29th, 2015 in DeRidder, Louisiana with her loving family by her side. Mrs. Barrett was a member of Dry Creek Bible Church, and was employed by East Beauregard School where she drove the Special Education Bus for 23 years. A special thank you to Harbor Hospice, Charlie and Lawanna for the special care they provided throughout her illness. She was loved by all will be missed by many. Mrs. Barrett was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Beulah Martin; and husband, Billy Barrett. Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory are two sons; David L. Barrett, of DeRidder, LA; Ricky Earl Barrett, and wife Shanda of Dry Creek, LA, three daughters, Lisa Douget, and husband Keith of Moss Bluff, LA, Cindy Hamilton, and husband Lynn of DeRidder, LA, Debbie West, and husband Farrell of DeRidder, LA; one brother, Larry Martin, and wife Adrienne of Ragley, LA; twenty grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends. Visitation will begin on Sunday, August 30th, 2015 at 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Hixson Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 31st, 2015 at 2:00 pm_ Hixson Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA with Reverend Sam Burchard officiating. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Dry Creek, LA. Services under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.
