Obituary of J.B. Davis

J.B. "George" Davis, 77, of Duson, Louisiana entered eternal peace on Friday, August 28th, 2015 in Lafayette, Louisiana. He was a native of DeRidder, LA, Baptist by faith and a retired logger. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie and Evie Hickman Davis; his wife, Marcelene Woodard Davis and two sons, James Davis and Terrell Davis. Those left to mourn his lose and cherish his memory are one son, Jay L. Davis and wife Debbie of Duson, LA; two daughter, Charlotte Davis of Melbourne, FL and Renee Deborah Davis of DeRidder, LA; 11 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2015 at Hixson Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA from 11:00am until the time of service at 3:00pm. Pallbearers will be Jason Chiasson, Jeffery Chiasson, Ramsey Brister, Greg Brister, Pat Brister and Casey Brister. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jay Davis, Brady Mouton, Jamie Lelande and Jimmy Davis. Burial to follow at Whitaker Cemetery in DeRidder, LA.
