Obituary of Louise Jones Knight

Louise Knight, 83, of Rosepine, Louisiana entered eternal peace on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 in Rosepine, Louisiana with her family by her side. Mrs. Knight will be well remembered for the way she made others feel. She loved to tell jokes, laugh, smile, and just sit on the porch and enjoy a glass of ice cold water and talk. Mrs. Knight dedicated her life to being a loving wife, mother and friend. Her wisdom, tenacity and spirit will be missed by many. Mrs. Knight was preceded in death by her parents, David and Eddie Mae Jones; husband, Mark Knight; two sons, Charlie Knight and Keith Knight; one daughter, Martha Watson and one brother, Ernest Jones. Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory is one son, Steve Lee Knight of Soldotna, Alaska; one daughter, Vester Wood of Rosepine LA; one brother, Dave Jones of Casa Grande, Arizona and one sister, Jewel Tanner-Crocker of Hawkins, Texas. Mrs. Knight was blessed with 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends. Visitation will begin on Friday, September 11, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church in Rosepine, LA. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church in Rosepine, LA with Reverends Charles Best and Arlen Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Providence Cemetery in Rosepine, LA. Services will be under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.
