Obituary of Ronald Neil McIntyre

Ronald Neil McIntyre, 75, of Deridder, passed away June 7, 2017 at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. He was born May 18, 1942 in Troy, N.C. to Paul Charles and Esther Mae (Freeman) McIntyre. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Michael Otis McIntyre. Surviving to cherish his memory is his wife, Linda Dawn McIntyre, one son Robert Neil McIntyre and his wife Kimberly of Metter, Georgia; one sister Phyllis Mabry and her husband Larry of Troy, N.C.; one brother Paul Derwood McIntrye of Rock Hill, N.C.; and two grandchildren, Robert Lee and Ryan Neil Kahrol. Ronald served over 20 years in the U.S. Army before retiring as a Master Sergeant. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed watching football and golfing A visitation will be on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 from 5pm to 8pm at the Hixson Funeral Home in Deridder. The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at the Central Louisiana Veteran Cemetery in Leesville.
