Obituary of Marita Fafard

Marita Rae Fafard age 60 of Longville, LA passed away October 24, 2015. She was born December 18, 1954 in Whitesburg, KY to Billy Ray & Elizabeth Ann (Adams) Trent. She married Paul Fafard Sr. and he preceded her in death, she later married Roger Dupree and he also preceded her in death as well as her parents, two sisters, and one brother. Left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory are her three children: Paul Fafard Jr. (Katy) of Devine, TX; Billy Fafard (Laura) of Longville, LA; and Elizabeth "Libby" Caudill (Charles) of Blackey, KY. Also surviving are her 9 grandchildren and one sister: Nancy Faye Gibson (Darrell) of Whitesburg, KY, and two stepchildren, Aaron and Amanda. Marita was a longtime resident of the Longville area, worked many years as a clerk at Circle K, and a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Longville. She loved taking care of her grandchildren and was one who never forgot birthdays and anniversaries and sent cards for all special occasions. She enjoyed singing hymns and loved watching the television show The Voice and could tell you about each contestant from every season. She was an avid collector of bells and had them from around the world. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Longville. Burial will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Longville.
