Obituary of Winona White

Winona "Nona" White, 74, of Westlake, Louisiana entered eternal peace on Sunday, February 7th, 2016 in Westlake, Louisiana with her loving family by her side. She was Baptist by faith, a caregiver to all, showed compassion to everyone and was a believer in the truth. Mrs. White was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac and Nora Horn Jones; her husband, Aubrey White and three brothers. Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Sandra McMillian and husband Jerry of Merryville, LA and Nikki McCoy of Westlake, LA; four brother; one sister; eight grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, February 9th, 2016 from 5pm to 8pm at Hixson Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. Visitation will resume at Providence Baptist Church from 11am – 2pm. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, February 10th, 2016 at Providence Baptist Church in Leesville, LA at 2pm. Burial to follow at Providence Cemetery in Leesville, LA. Services will be under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home in Deridder, LA.
