Obituary of Corrie M Griffin

Corrie Margaret Griffin, 75, of Leesville, Louisiana passed from this life on April 25, 2016 surrounded by her Loving Family. Corrie will be remembered as a strong willed Lady who was a hard worker and a precious Granny all in one. Corrie was loved dearly by all who knew her, she was tough, yet sweet and she had a strong love for Gospel Music and bird watching as well. Corrie Griffin was the Daughter of the late James Franklin Kittrell and Mary Louise Thomas Kittrell. Corrie was preceded in death by her Son, Jesse LeRay Whiddon, One Brother, J.T. Kittrell and One Sister, Jean Young. Corrie is survived by Two Daughters, Phyllis Maxine Whiddon - Stevens and Husband, George A. Stevens ; and Susan Renee Whiddon – McDaniel. One Brother, Wayne Kittrell , and Two Sisters, Dolores Collins and Edith Coffin, along with Six Grandchildren, Jamie LeRay Whiddon, Justin Lee Young and Wife Jennifer, Kayla Nicole Stevens, Dusty LeRay Whiddon, Destiny Cheyanne Whiddon, and Bryce Lee McDaniel. Four Great Grandchildren, Shellby Lynn Whiddon, James LeRay Whiddon, Alyssa Lynn Young and Aaron Lee Young, and One Great Great Grandchild Miss Paytience Margaret Rose Whiddon. Extended Family includes Amanda Brister, Tyler Dickens and Matthew Brister. The Family will receive Friends on Wednesday April 27, 2016 from 5 – 8 PM at Hixson Funeral Home in DeRidder, Louisiana. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 2 PM at Hixson Funeral Home, DeRidder Louisiana. Interment will be at Foshee Cemetery which is located in Merryville, Louisiana.
