Obituary of Gary L. Cox

DERIDDER – Gary Leroy Cox, age 65, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at his brother's home. Gary was a loving son, brother, and friend who will be missed greatly. Those left behind to cherish his memories are his mother, Jean Weldon Cox of DeRidder; a brother, Rickie Lane Cox of Cole Central, La; numerous cousins; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Garland Leroy Cox. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, July 24, 2017 at Hixson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Symrna Cemetery in DeRidder. Visitation will be held from noon until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
