Obituary of Dorothy Lee Sadberry

Dorothy "Dot" Sadberry, 66, of DeRidder, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 in the DeRidder Retirement Center. Visitation will be held at Hixson Funeral Home in DeRidder on Thursday, July 15, 2010, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. She will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at Rosepine First Baptist Church on Sunday, July 18, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Charles Lee Williams and Reverend Greg Crawford officiating. She was a CNA for many years and enjoyed visiting with people. She traveled with her husband, Ray, to many places while he served in the United States Navy. They settled down in Oklahoma for many years and she returned with her son to DeRidder after her husband's death. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Sadberry; parents, Ben and Estelle Williams; and her sister, Caroline Blalock. She is survived by her son and his wife, Chester "CJ" Thurston Sadberry and Valerie; four grandchildren, Christopher Sadberry, Garret, Shane and Curry Benoit; her brother and wife, Bennie and Sue Williams of Rosepine; 3 nieces and 2 nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
