Obituary of Schulz Jr.
Henry A. Schulz, Jr., 59, passed away on August 7, 2010 in Meridian, Mississippi. Henry was born November 3, 1950 and lived in DeRidder his entire life.
He was employed as a Safety Director for National Boiler and graduated from Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe with his Bachelors of Business Administration in 1974. He was a Past President, Board Member and Chief Umpire of the Dixie Youth Baseball Association and coached baseball teams for 15 years. He also served as District Umpire for South Louisiana. Henry was an Eagle Scout and a member of the DeRidder Masonic Lodge.
Henry was loved by a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Juanita Schulz, and his sister, Nita Wells. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 38 years, Jackie Governale Schulz; his sons, Chad Schulz and wife, Ashleigh, of Moss Bluff, Todd Schulz and wife, April, of DeRidder; sister, Brenda Bolton and husband, Tommy, of The Woodlands, Texas; his beloved granddaughters, Avery Schulz and Zoey Schulz; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home in DeRidder on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will take place at Unity Baptist Church in DeRidder on Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Roger Gill officiating with visitation beginning at the church from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
