Obituary of Ida Tyler

Ida V. Tyer, 82, passed away on August 14, 2010 in Houston. She was married for 62 years to Oland Tyer, also known to most of his friends as "Olee". Ida was preceded in death by her husband, Oland. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Thompson; son, Dan Tyer and his wife, Julie, all of Porter, Texas; brothers, Louis J. Davis and John Calvin Davis; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Ida was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and she will be truly missed by all. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Kingwood Funeral Home, 22800 Highway 59 North, Kingwood, Texas. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Kingwood Funeral Chapel. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 20, 2010 at Lewis Cemetery in Sugartown, Louisiana.
