Obituary of Zelda Hicks

Zelda "Daygo" Hicks, 78, passed away on September 17, 2010 at Byrd Hospital in Leesville, LA. She is survived by; Sister, Thelma Register of DeRidder, LA; nieces; Rose Abdullah and her husband Ahmad of DeRidder, LA; Theresa Register of DeRidder, LA; and Laura Leake and her husband Howard of San Antonio, TX; Nephew, Harold Register and wife Gena of Lafayette, LA; two great nieces; five great nephews and one great great niece. Zelda was preceded in death by her father, Charley Self; mother, Irrilla (Simmons) Self; daugther, Gailayn Williams; Sister, Judy Randall and grandson, Emanuel Williams. Visitation will be held at the Starlight Missionary Baptist Church, DeRidder on Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 9:00 a.m until service time at 11:00. Pastor Daniel Stafford will be officiating services. Burial will follow at the Starlight Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of DeRidder.
