Joann Johnson, 72, passed from this life on Monday, October 25, 2010. Joann was born in Muncie, IN to the late Oval and Margie Taylor Farrell. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2010 from 5:00 p.m until 7:00 p.m. at the Hixson Funeral Home of DeRidder. Private family services to follow. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Shelby Johnson of Starks, LA; sons: Shelby Johnson Jr. and wife Pamela of Starks, LA, Pete Johnson and wife Regina of Clinton, MS, Hobie Johnson and wife Renee of Plano, TX, and Stoney Johnson and wife Cary of Weatherford, TX; Daughters: Joyce Burton and husband Dick of Merritt Island, FL, Margie Johnson of Boulder, CO, Bonnie Jakub and husband George of DeRidder, LA, and Kathy Machek and husband Joe of Flower Mound, TX; brothers: Dickie Jo Farrell and wife Donna of Camden MI, and Sam Farrell and wife Linda of Temperance, MI; Grandchildren: Kelly Bowers, Jamie Burton, Dusty Sumner, Crystal Vargas, Travis Burton, Pete Johnson, Taylor Loomis, Amber Loomis, Hobie Kyle Johnson, Simon Johnson, George Jakub IV, Caitlin Johnson, and Little Shelby Johnson as well as 9 Great Grandchildren.
