Obituary of Mary Ann Robertson

Mary Ann Robertson, 83, of Doylestown, Pennsylvania entered eternal rest on Thursday, February 5th, 2015 in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. She was born and raised in DeRidder as part of a large Italian family whose Catholic beliefs were an important part of their lives. She attended LSU for four years and then taught first grade in DeRidder until her retirement. She enjoyed LSU football and playing the slot machines at the casino, but her greatest love was her family. Ms. Robertson was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Rosa Farantello Marsalie; husband Rob Robertson and two brothers, Carl Marsalise and Benny Marsalise. Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory are one son, John Robertson and spouse Paula of Lake Charles, LA; one daughter Cathy Robertson and spouse Mindy Kaplan of Furlong, PA; one brother, Lee Marsalise and spouse Willene of DeRidder, LA; three sisters, Vivian Goodman and spouse Emory of Shreveport, LA, Catherine Rourke of Metairie, LA and Lucille Stevenson and spouse Rod of Houston, TX; two grandchildren, Julie Robertson of Woodlands, TX and Christopher Robertson and fiancée Karina Rivera of Houston, TX; two step grandchildren, John Martin of Houston, TX and Jennifer Ramsey of Woodlands, TX and numerous extended family and friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 7th, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Hixson Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA. A graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in DeRidder, LA on Sunday, February 8th, 2015 at 1:00 pm with Deacon All Weinnig officiating.
