Leanne, I am truly sorry for your loss. Your mother taught me more than just business skills while at MHS; but she taught life lessons that I have attempted to live by. She was a remarkable lady.

Leanne & family, my deepest condolences on the loss of your mother. What a wonderful person she was. She taught me so many wonderful things at MHS. Not only business courses, but life courses. She was truly an awesome example to her students. I have thought of her many times through these years. Upon my promotion a few years ago an annoucement was published in our local newspaper. I received the most wonderful card expressing her congratulations. The memory still holds a special place in my heart. That was just the way Mrs. Midkiff was. She loved all of her students & we loved her in return. May God Bless you & your family.

What a wonderful teacher she was during my high school years at Merryville. She taught with such careful attention to each one of us always demanding our best and we wanted to do our best for her. Even after being out of school for many years, married with children and living on the east coast she still remembered me. I still recall the day when she met the family, she was truly excited to see me and the family. She really did "walk the talk"! Twenty nine years later and I still use all the tools of typing and the ethics of work that she so carefully taught us. Mrs. Midkiff, you will be missed.

I too, loved your Mom so very much. She made me feel like "somebody". She was a wonderful teacher, an amazing lady. I enjoyed learning from her and she taught me so much. Her laughter and "sayings" have been and always will be with me. And I promise to never look at my fingers while typing.

Leanne, We met your family in 1970 when we moved to Knight Community. We quickly became the best of friends. Both Eula Mae and Ken were both the friendliest and sincerest people I have ever known. Due to my wanderlust we only lived in the Knight Community for a few years but we still think of it as home. This is due to the friendship we enjoyed with your family and all the other fine people there. God bless you all.

I will always remember Mrs. Midkiff with the deepest respect because of the many things she taught me. As I type this message I am thinking of her in her classroom and all that I owe her because of her enthusiasm as she taught. She was a great big ball of energy. I will always remember her with the greatest fondness and gratitude. May God bless you Leanne and give you strength. Thank you for sharing your mother with so many of us.

Oh my, what a whitty lady and a joy to be around. And those earrings were always worn with class. Ms Eula Mae was one of a kind and will be truly missed. May today there be peace within. The C.R. Midkiff family.

Leanne, I am at a loss as to what to say, other than, I know that she is rejoicing in Heaven, and Jesus probably handed out ear plugs upon her arrival. I can still vividly see your mom standing in front of the church during Bible school. She loved to tell what we did on a daily basis, and just laugh, and laugh and laugh. She was always so much fun. I can still see her face, when she was introduced to me and Bubba at the visitation for Aunt Doris. She just had so much joy in her eyes, to see us. In which I know that is how she greeted everybody. She will be dearly missed by all...

Leanne, I remember your mom very well. She was known for bringing her famous pies for the Evans faculty to enjoy. She came to the Kindergarden several times. She told stories but also brought her own books to read to the class. She was one special lady. Peggy Allen (retired Kindergarten teacher)

LeAnn and Family,
After reading the beautiful legacy of of Ms. Midkiff's life, I thought of this passage, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
---2 Timothy 4:7
May you obtain strength and comfort in your grief from knowing how much I valued your Mom and her teachings. The simple lessons she taught me, I use on a daily bases. Her legacy continues....
Always,

I had the privilege of teaching at school with Mrs. Midkiff. She was loved by all. I have heard students continue to speak of her years later and the influence she had on her students. She left a legacy not only with family but many students that had the privilege of being in her classroom. I remember a yellow dress she loved and always needed me to zip it to the top when she got to school! Thoughts and prayers to the family!

Please accept my sincere condolences at the passing of Mrs. Midkilff. She exemplified the dedicated teacher who truly made the difference in the life of a child. Mrs. Midkiff demanded the best of her students, enabling them to see that they were capable. I have a successful career in large part due to her insistence that we work hard and do our best. She was energetic and humorous which kept the students on their toes. Although she has passed away, her influence will continue. Rest in well-deserved peace, Mrs. Midkiff.
