Obituary of Vivian S Nelson

Vivian Salusbury Nelson, 99, was born July 17, 1911 in Singer, LA to the late Emma Ashworth Salusbury and William Salusbury. Preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Nelson of 62 years; brothers, Earnest Salusbury, William Salusbury, Graham Salusbury, Malcolm Salusbury, Murrell Salusbury, Elroy Salusbury, Delbert Salusbury; sisters Vertie Belle Salusbury Droddy, Helen Salusbury Foster, Idelle Salusbury Clark, Nellie Rae Salusbury Cooley, Gladys Salusbury. Mrs. Nelson is survived by her daughter, Camille Nelson Yoder and husband R.D. of Houston, TX; sister, Wanda Mae Salusbury Hanks of Groves, Tx; grandsons, R.D. Yoder, Jr. and James Nelson Yoder both of Pearland, TX; 4 great grand children; 14 nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, January 28, 2011 from 5 – 9 pm at Hixson Funeral Home of DeRidder. Services will be held at United Pentecostal Church of Singer on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 11:00 am with visitation beginning at 9:00 am until service time.
