Obituary of Bernice McMullen

Service for Bernice Lantz McMullen,89 will be on Monday, February 7, 2011 at 10:30 a.m at the Hixson Funeral Home of DeRidder with the Rev. Dale Miller officiating services. She passed away peacefully on February 4, 2011 at Beauregard Memorial Hospital. Burial will be held in Lewis Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of DeRidder. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 6, 2011 from 5:00 p.m until 9:00 p.m at the Hixson Funeral Home of Deridder. Bernice was born in Basile, LA to the late Louis and Pearl Lantz. She lived most her life in Rosepine as a homemaker. She loved to cook, bake, play dominos and garden. She enjoyed being with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include: Daughter, Sheila McMullen Chaumont and husband Pete of Rosepine; Sons, David McMullen and wife Sandra of Rosepine; Doug McMullen and wife Lee of Nederland, Tx. 7 Grandchildren; Christy and Brad Johnson of Pitkin, Brittany Chaumont of Rosepine, Justin Chaumont of Rosepine, Kenneth and Chasity Jander of Nederland, Tx, Brian McMullen and wife of ,Tx, Cade McMullen of Forrest Hill, La, and Neal McMullen of Rosepine; 6 Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Neal McMullen; Parents, Louis and Pearl Lantz, sister Carrie Lantz Hebert, and brother, Webster Lantz.
