Obituary of Myrtle Harper

Myrtle Harper, 88 passed away March 1, 2011 with her family by her side. Mrs. Harper was a lifelong resident of the DeRidder area and was a member of the Shady Grove Pentecostal Church. Mrs. Harper is preceded in death by her husband Acie M. Harper. She is survived by her daughters: Lynell and husband, J.G Harper of DeRidder, LA, and Doris Perkins of DeRidder, LA; son, Morris Perkins of DeRidder, LA; brother, Curtis Young and wife Wilidean of DeRidder, LA; sisters; Yvonne Mannings and Jewel Gilbert, both of DeRidder, LA and Rosella and her husband Al Heath of Rosepine, LA; 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m Wednesday March 2, 2011 at the Shady Grove Pentecostal Church. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at the Shady Grove Pentecostal Church with Rev. Jeff Phillips and Rev. Donis Ashworth officiating.
