Obituary of Emogene L Garst

Emogene L. Garst of DeRidder, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2011 in DeRidder, LA. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Leroy Garst; sons, Kenny Garst and wife Marie of Dry Creek, LA, Bobby Garst and wife Gina of Rockyface, Ga; Brothers, Maynard Woodhatch and wife Lorraine of Lake Charles, LA, and Larry Woodhatch and wife Paulette of Moss Bluff, LA; Sister, Freda Manley and husband Gene of Bossier City, LA; 5 Grandchildren: Casey Garst, Nathan Garst, Hollie Fotta and husband Tom, Stacey Maddox, and Tamera Maddox. Emogene was a member of the Westview Baptist Church and taught school for the Vernon Parish School Board for many years. Emogene was was a graduate of MacNeese State University. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at the Hixson Funeral Home of DeRidder from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at 10:00 a.m at the Westview Baptist Church with Bro.
