Obituary of Dafford White

Dafford "Sonny" White, 71, of Pitkin passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2011. Sonny is survived by his son, James White of Pitkin; daughters: Brenda and husband Stan Salter of DeRidder, Janice Nay of Leesville, and Darlene and husband Jerry Midkiff of DeRidder; brothers: Roger Dale White of Cravens, and Jack White of DeRidder; sisters: Margie White of Rosepine, Brenda Strother of Rosepine, Bonnie Drowdey of Elizabeth, and Shirley Moore of Pitkin; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth White; parents: Louie White and Bertie Johnson White; brother: Donald Ray Cloud Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at the Hixson Funeral Home of DeRidder from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Funeral Services will take place on Friday, June 17, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Hixson Funeral Home of DeRIdder. Brother George Lee Glass, Brother George Glass, Brother Jimmy Glass, Brother Arlin Smith, and Brother Ken Lowery will be officiating.
