Obituary of Lawrence Eldon Rasberry

Lawrence Eldon "Raz" Rasberry, 82 of Grant, La passed away on February 4, 2012 in Lake Charles, LA. Raz was born to the late Raymond and Viola Baggett Rasberry in Oakdale, LA. He was a member of the Palestine Baptist Church. Raz was employed by the Plank Company in Houston in the Regional Sales division. He is survived by his wife, Maxine Duke Rasberry of Grant; Sons: Lawrence R. Rasberry and wife Karen of San Antonio, TX; adopted son, Myron Kimball and wife Betty of Arlington, TX; 2 step children; sisters: Evelyn Ann Sibley and husband J.V of Navarre, OH, and Robbie Ritchie of Grant, LA; brothers: Ray Rasberry and wife Betty of Grant, LA, Richard Rasberry and wife Melba of Elizabeth, LA, and Robert Rasberry of Grant, LA; 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, and 10 step great grandchildren. Raz was preceded in death by a son, Edward Rasberry; a stepdaughter; and sister, Everill Andrade Visitation will be held at the Palestine Baptist Church in Grant, LA on Sunday, February 05, 2012 from 4:00 p.m until 10:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the church at 1:00 p.m on Monday, February 6, 2012.
