Obituary of Douglas Whittington

Douglas "Bud" Whittington, age 70, of DeRidder, LA. passed away on June 19, 2012 at his residence in DeRidder, LA. Douglas was born on August 29, 1941 in DeRidder , LA. to the late James and Dolline Morrow Whittington. Douglas will be loved and missed by all who knew him. Douglas was survived by his wife of 51 years, Lillie Hines Whittington of DeRidder, LA. One Son, James Ellis Whittington and wife Dana of DeRidder, LA. One daughter, Faith Ann Ewing and Gordon Breaud of DeRidder, LA. Sisters, Barbara Lucille Cason, Annie Faye Walley, and Grace Marie Lyons. He was also survived by 2 grand-daughters, Shelby Ewing and Emily Whittington of DeRidder, LA. and 1 great-grand-daughter, MiKayla Mayes. Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, James and Dolline Whittington of DeRidder, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Hixson Funeral Home of DeRidder, LA. and on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 9:00am until Service time at 10:00am at Hixson Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder, LA. Brother Doug Mitchell will be officiating. Burial will follow at Old Cypress Cemetery in DeRidder, LA. under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of DeRidder, LA.
