Obituary of Stretton Jr.

Lloyd Shelby Stretton, Jr. age70, passed away on July 19, 2012 at his residence in Dry Creek, LA. Lloyd was born on April 1, 1942 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Lloyd Stretton Sr. and Violet Zeller Stretton. Lloyd had accomplished many things in his life. He attended Dry Creek High School, and was employed by Watson Electric, Beauregard Police Jury, Longville Gravel Pit, Trinity Concrete. He was also a Professional Farrier, Shepherd and preserver of the Gulf Coast Sheep. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him. Lloyd was survived by his wife, Margrett Lee Stretton of Dry Creek, LA. Daughter, Elizabeth Stretton Blashill and husband, Dan Blashill of Fort Lewis, WA. Brothers, Marshall Stretton of Pollock, LA. Norman Stretton of Dry Creek, LA. Sanford Stretton of Pagosa Springs, CO. One sister, Lorna Stretton of Dry Creek, LA. Lloyd was also survived by one grandson, Talon Blashill of Fort Lewis, WA. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Stretton Sr.and mother,Violet Elizabeth Zeller Stretton. Sister,Phyllis Stretton LeDoux, Brothers, Vivian Stretton and Carl Stretton. Visitation will be held at Dry Creek Bible Church in Dry Creek, La.on Friday, July 27, 2012 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm. Service will be Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the Dry Creek Bible Church at 10:00am. Rev. Don Barrett will be officiating. Burial will follow at Dry Creek Cemetery in Dry Creek, La. under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of DeRidder, La.
