Obituary of Catherine Jane Kerbow

Celebration of Life services for Ms. Catherine Jane Kerbow, 51, will be held 4:00 p.m., Friday, October 12, 2012, in the chapel of Hixson Funeral Home, DeRidder, Louisiana, with Bro. Jimmy Glass officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Rosepine Cemetery, Rosepine, Louisiana. The family would like to welcome friends for visitation on Friday, October 12, 2012, beginning at 2:00 p.m. until service time at 4:00 p.m., Friday, October 12, 2012. Ms. Kerbow was born January 1, 1961, in Vicenza, Italy to the late Henry Bailey and Wilma J. Reeves Kerbow and was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on October 6, 2012, in Kansas City, Missouri surrounded by family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Henrietta, Missouri, and was a devout Christian. She also was a member of the GGC, Grumpy Granny Club. Ms. Kerbow worked as an optical manager. She loved to cook, latch hook with grandchildren and do ceramics. Ms. Kerbow will always be loved and missed by her family and friends. Ms. Kerbow was preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish Catherine's precious memories will be her three sons; Robert Dobson and wife Kim of Lexington, Missouri, John Dobson and Bobby Pitts, both of Gladstone, Missouri; four grandchildren; Bailey Dobson, Byron Dobson, Jaydon Pitts, Adriana Pitts; four step-grandchildren; Zackary Zornes, Zebadia Zornes, Zane Zornes, and Kitreana Zornes; step-great grandchild; Connor Zornes, among many extended family members and a host of wonderful friends. Honoring Ms. Kerbow as pallbearers will be Robert Dobson, John Dobson, Bobby Pitts, Tony Dobson, Roy Halstead, and Walter Dunn. Honorary pallbearers will be Jaydon Pitts and Byron Dobson.
