Obituary of ARLEY EVELYN REEVES

Services for Arley Evelyn Reeves 83 of DeRidder will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 10:00 am in the Hixson Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder, LA. Bro. Danny Wilson will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jeff Farmer, Alan Reeves, Brett Reeves, Bart Reeves, Rylan Reeves, Matthew Gallien, Timothy Gallien, Andy Cates and Joey Clendening. Visitation will be held Monday, January 7, 2013 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Hixson Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA and Tuesday, January 8, 2013 from 8:00 am until time of service at Hixson Funeral Home. Mrs. Reeves was born September 25, 1929, in DeRidder, LA to Leondus and Gladys Moses, and passed from this life on January 4, 2013 in Alexandria, LA. Mrs. Reeves was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist church; she was an excellent seamstress and loved to cross stitch. Mrs. Reeves liked word puzzles and loved western movies. She also enjoyed traveling and vacationing. She loved her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all. Mrs. Reeves is preceded in death by her husband; David Reeves, parents; Leondus Moses and Gladys Moses, brothers; Stanley Moses and Tubby Moses, and son-in-law; Ricky Gallien. Mrs. Reeves is survived by sons; David "Buddy" Reeves (Sherry) of Rosepine, LA, Steve Reeves (Durrel) of DeRidder, LA, daughters; Linda Farmer (Ken) of Deridder, LA, Gail Ruddock (Denny) of Little Rock, AR, Marilyn Clendening (Mark) of DeRidder, LA, Bettye Gallien of Dry Creek, LA, sister; Flora Mae "Lilly" Graham of Dallas, TX, 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
