Obituary of Kay Stephens

Kay Francis Stephens, 70, of Rosepine, LA passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017. She was born on February 15, 1947 to Pearlis McDaniel and Willie Pender McDaniel in Verda, LA. Mrs. Stephens was preceded in death by her husband, Ottis Gene Stephens; mother, Willie B. Bryant; brother, Walter Ray McDaniel; god-daughter, Heather Lord. Those left to cherish her memory are sister, Elsie Lord; brother, Jessie McDaniel; children, Becky Weekley and husband, James Weekley, Lisa Vidrine, James Smith, Jr., Bobby Stephens and wife, Sherrie Stephens, Debbie MacNeil and husband, George MacNeil; grandchildren, Amanda Hearn and husband, Andrew Hearn, Teresa Wilson, Scotty Pruitt, Tra'e Smith, Amber Vidrine, Madison Vidrine, Toby Vidrine, Braxton Nickerson, Trevor-Marc Smith-Nickerson, Devon Lehto, Haley MacNeil; great-grandchild, John Hearn. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 5PM until 9PM at Providence Baptist Church. Services will be held Friday, March 3, 2017 at 2PM at Providence Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson Bailey Cemetery in Rosepine, LA. Services are under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home, DeRidder, LA.
