Obituary of John William Vinyard

Celebration of life service for Mr. John William Vinyard, 64, will be held Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at 4:00 PM in the Chapel of Hixson Funeral Home, DeRidder, LA, with Bro. Wayne Evans of First United Methodist Church, DeRidder, LA, officiating. Mr. Vinyard was born April 18, 1948, in Harrisburg, IL, to the late Eldon Eugene and Helen Modean Partain Vinyard and was unexpectedly taken from us March 8, 2013, in DeRidder, LA. He was of the Baptist faith and served this grateful nation for seven years in the Army National Guard. Mr. Vinyard enjoyed fishing, gardening, "the great outdoors" and spending spare time in the presence of his family and friends. He worked as a paper maker for 37 years with Boise. Mr. Vinyard will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, doting grandfather, caring sibling and a trusted friend to all who knew him. Mr. Vinyard was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish Mr. Vinyard's memory and share his stories will be his beloved wife of 29 years, Janice Bennett Vinyard, one daughter; Teri Vinyard Benoit and husband Tommy of Lake Charles, LA, one son; Ryan Vinyard and Kesslie Carbo of Baton Rouge, LA, one stepson; Lloyd Lambert and wife Robin of Pass Christian, MS, three brothers: Ron Vinyard and wife Sandy of Cheyenne, WY, Don Vinyard of Harrisburg, IL and David Vinyard and wife Madeline of Eldorado, IL, six grandchildren: Zachary Vinyard, Kenzie and Faith Benoit, Ashlyn and Alexia Lenoard, Britney Bradley and husband Codi, along with numerous extended family members and many great friends.
