Obituary of Merlin Jack Pruitt

Merlin Jack Pruitt Celebration of Life service for Mr. Merlin Jack Pruitt, 85, will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at 2:00 pm in the sanctuary of Pentecostal Gospel Lighthouse, in DeRidder, with Brother Ed Tilley officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Newlin Cemetery in Singer, LA. The family would like to welcome guest for visitation Tuesday, March 19, 2013 from 5-9 pm, at Pentecostal Gospel Lighthouse. Mr. Pruitt was born October 7, 1927 in Fowl, LA to Ed Pruitt and Mattie Burge Pruitt, and was called home on March 18, 2013 at his residence in DeRidder, LA. Mr. Pruitt is preceded in death by; his parents; one son, Richard Pruitt; three brothers, Edgar Pruitt, L.C. Pruitt, and Harry Pruitt. Left to honor him are; his wife, Margie Pruitt; two sons, Jackie Pruitt and Tommy Pruitt, both of DeRidder, LA; two daughters, Kelle' Cole of DeRidder, LA, Tammie Gibson and husband Danny of DeRidder, La; one sister, Violet Hollingsworth and husband Earl of DeRidder, LA; one brother, Murphy Pruitt of DeRidder, LA. 13 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren are also left to cherish his memories, along with a host of family and friends.
