Obituary of Harwell Jr.

A.G. Harwell, Jr. Celebration of Life services for A.G. Harwell, Jr., 78, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 26, 2013, in the Hixson Funeral Home Chapel, DeRidder, LA, with Bro. David Lilley of Living Faith Fellowship, Ragley, LA. Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Dry Creek Cemetery, Dry Creek, LA. The family would like to greet guests for visitation Tuesday, March 26, 2013, from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. in the Hixson Chapel. Mr. Harwell, Jr. was born May 7, 1934, in DeQueen, Arkansas, to the late Nancye Ann Overturf and A.G. Harwell Sr. and wall called home March 23, 2013. Mr. Harwell, Jr. enjoyed fishing and watching sports especially when the grandchildren were involved. He had a love for family and friends and was a very caring person that would help anyone in need. Mr. Harwell, Jr. will leave behind a legacy of sharp, WITTY humor. Mr. Harwell, Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters: Margie and Wanda. Left to cherish the memory and share his stories will be his son, Ronald S. Harwell, Best Friend and Companion of forty years; Marie DeMary, Diane Faulk, Yvonne Roryer, Edie Sizemore, Buddy Slaydon, one sister; Joye Fern Panaell, ten grandchildren: Angela, Dustin, Joshua, and Shelby Harwell, Morgan Haynes, Justin Vacker, Brandon and Amber Faulk, Joseph and Reginald Slaydon, eleven great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members and many wonderful friends. Honoring Mr. Harwell, Jr. as pallbearers will be Zakery Blankenship, Blake Blankenship, Gregg Royer, Justin Vacker, Joseph Slaydon, Taz Forbes and O'Neal Spikes.
