Joseph Perkins
Celebration of life services for Joseph Perkins,68, will be held at Kingdom Hall in Rosepine, LA on Saturday, April 20th, 2013 at 3:00pm with Gary Brown officiating.
Joseph Perkins was born May 7, 1944 in Leesville, LA to the late Floyd and Lillian Perkins and passed away Thursday, April 17th 2013 in Deridder, Louisiana. Mr. Perkins was of the Jehovah Witness faith and loved his ministry. He was a great father to all five of his children and was loved by all of his family. Mr. Perkins was a fan LSU and New Orleans Saints football. He also enjoyed watching westerns that starred John Wayne. Mr. Perkins also had a faithful puppy, Bunker that never left his side. Joseph Perkins will be remembered for his good sense of humor and for his love of cowboy boots and jeans.
Joseph Perkins is preceded in death by his parents, brother Douglas Perkins, and sister Ruth Brown. Left to cherish Mr. Perkins memories are his five children: John W. Perkins, Joseph W. Perkins, and Jaylene Perkins Lawson of Albuquerque, NM, Joell Perkins of Singer, LA, JoCinda Perkins OQuain of Sulphur, LA. One sister Ester Harper and husband Dwight Harper Sr. of Leesvile, LA. Six grandchildren: Jared Perkins of Aztec, NM, Shane Lawson of Albuquerque, NM, JaChar Perkins of Singer, La, Raquel Buldain and husband Kevin Buldain of Albuquerque, NM, Zane Matthew Brane of Sulphur, LA , Zoi Perkins of Albuquerque, NM. Four nieces: Deborah Landolt of O'Fallon, MO, Charlene Beauford of Alexandria, LA, Shamarie Phillips of Minden, LA, Shannon Gayle Ledger of Florien, LA. Four nephews: Daniel Harper, Dwight Harper Jr of Turkey Creek, LA, Joseph Brown, Broderick Brown of Florien, LA, and a wonderful host of extended family and friends.
