Obituary of James Derwin Fee

James Derwin Fee, 57, of Vinton, LA passed away on March 17, 2017. He was born on October 8, 1959 to David and Edna Fee in DeRidder, LA. James loved his Ferrets. He collected Alabama and Elvis memorabilia, and loved The General Lee. James was preceded in death by his father, David Fee; mother, Edna Midkiff Vernier; step-father, George "Sonny" Vernier; his beloved ferrets, Trouble, Daisy, Gidget, Buddy and Trixie. Those left to cherish his memory are, three brothers, David Lynn Fee, George Thomas Vernier, Timmy Allin Vernier; three sisters, Billy Jean Davy, Gwendolyn Guidry, Stacy Darlene Vernier; special friends, Lynn and Neal Harper; his beloved ferret, Bandit; twenty nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2017 from 5pm – 9pm at Hixson Funeral Home in DeRidder. Services will be held Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 11am in the chapel of Hixson Funeral Home with Brother Dale Poe officiating. Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery.
