Obituary of Kenneth Joseph Edigo

Kenneth Joseph Edigo, 84, passed away on Monday, April 27th, 2015 in DeRidder, Louisiana. Kenneth was born on January 12th, 1931 in Jennings Louisiana and lived most of his life in Lake Charles. He was a kind person who loved to visit with family and friends. Mr. Kenneth served in the US Navy, and he was a member of the Veteran's Administration, he then worked for PPG and retired after 23 years. He liked gardening, fishing, yard work, politics and news and he loved going camping. Kenneth was also known for joking around with others and loved good old southern gospel music. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of DeRidder Louisiana, where he is loved by all and will be missed by many. Mr. Edigo was preceded in death by his father, Te John Edigo; mother, Lottie Brown; two brothers, Ronnie Edigo, and David Edigo; and one sister, Dorothy Buloan. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Barbara Edigo of DeRidder, LA; three daughters, Jo Ann Rhodes of Westlake, LA, Judy Desormeaux and husband Randy of Lake Charles, LA and Jennifer Stailey and husband Don of Moss Bluff, LA; seven grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends. A special thank you would like to be extended to Michelle, Mary, and Roxanne of the Christus Hospice who was there for us in our time of need. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 28th, 2015 at 3: 00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Wednesday April 29th from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at Hixson Funeral Home, DeRidder Louisiana.
