Obituary of Emily Paris Deason
Emily Paris Deason, 76, passed away from this life May 25th 2013 in Alexandria, Louisiana. Mrs. Deason was a member of the Marlow Baptist Church in Pitkin, Louisiana, where she loved to get together with her secret sisters. She was a home-maker, she was an artist that loved to paint as well as do many other arts and crafts, and she enjoyed making floral arrangements for the church and cemetery. Originally from Edinburgh, Scotland, she wed and became a military wife and was able to travel and see many sights.
She is survived by her sons, Steven Sheehan and Linda Robinson of Pitkin, Louisiana, William Sheehan and Travis Hutchison of Tucson, Arizona, Brad Deason and wife Carol of Houston, Texas; Daughter Leslie and Barry Milligan of Charleston, South Carolina; Sisters Elizabeth and husband Martyn Whyte of Edinburgh, Scotland, Dorothy McGlothlin and husband David; Brother Alex Lawson and wife Patti of Cornwall, England; Grandchildren, Kristi Haifa, Candy, Cheryl,Barry, Gordon Deason, Whitney Deason, and a multitude of Great-Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Walter C. Deason; Sister, Agnes Penrod.
Family will be receiving guests for a memorial service on Saturday June 1, 2013 at 12:00 pm at Hixson Funeral Home of DeRidder. Brother Hardy Estes and Brother Joey Rudisil will be officiating. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfh.com
